However, they used colors that are the most common colors colorblind people have difficulty with. Come on, why worry about all the activation stuff if you have to use the hardware and software together. Normally, this isn't a big deal. The downside is that it could really use a lot of work to make it more of a Professional, finished program.
-Extremely expensive and the licensing/activation is a bit cumbersome. This program was a great help. Who is going to pirate the software if they can't use it because they don't have the hardware.Bottom line is that it works great for teaching how to meditate and is also a lot of fun. The Pros: -The scenery is beautiful as is the music.-Easy to understand what to do.-Guide book is a great help.-Lots of different areas to go to and things to try.-So far the Best way to get into meditation that I have found.-Forces you to slow down and take it easy.(you can't rush the game and this is good)The Cons:-Not easy to use if you are colorblind. I have always had a hard time calming my mind(I have taught martial arts for 15 years). Meditation is now much easier and I feel much better. For some unknown reason many of the "cues" they use are color related. For example they use close shades of blue and magenta, reds and greens.
I would highly recommend it. First, I have to say that meditation has always been my downfall. The program installed OK, even on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine (install it using VISTA compatibility until they come out with a fix) and runs great. -While the graphics for the city and surrounding areas if good, the "special" imagery and effects are really cheesy and looks like something from an old Flash Gordan movie.-Does not support multiple monitors or 3D sound.-No easy way to transfer your saved files to another computer.-Many of the things you can do, like shooting arrows and balancing rocks, are used in both "The Passage" and "Healing Rhythms".
From the reviews, it's obvious that opinions and experiences are divided but if you have Fibromyalgia or CFS as I do, take the chance and try it. I figured, as an Ayurvedic therapist and long-time yoga practitioner that I had all my moves down just right. It's completely worth it. It's an amazing tool, it gave me NO problems on installation and I was playing right away. I hate new age hokey nonsense but I have to take notice when a medical Dr recommends a product to me.
Much to my benefit. Until bio-feedback, I didn't even realize that my meditations were lacking that deeper level. I wanted it right away but I was scheduled to move, so I waited until I moved and set up @ the new location to even order the product so that I wouldn't buy it, pack it and not see it again for a long time. I have waited until recently to get the game, I read soooo many reviews, I read them until my eyes hurt. I am finished with the game and waiting for Wisdom Quest.
Add that I'm 8th degree Rosicrucian and that just makes for a meditation pro but I am so much better at balancing my own energy flow now and my dreams changed and it's great.
A bit expensive. Great new technology. Not for fast action gamers, more for if you want to relax and do self help. Easy to install. Web support a bit difficult. To use it properly you need time as it is based on meditation.
A message comes up to the effect that it is connecting to the lightstone and remains on the screen, never loading the program. Part of the problem is that the forum does not appear to be monitored any longer.Whatever you do, don't lose your disks.
Their very beautiful website is all about selling and unfortunately NOT about resolving issues with their products. Several people have added comments telling them about the link but no response has come back.Reaching Customer Service via email is also a big zero.
The automated "customer support area" will direct you to a download page that either doesn't download or shows up with the infamous "page not found" error message. I have not heard back and do not anticipate a response.
The game is fun but it doesn't always recognize the lightstone. The problem is not the lightstone which still works fine with "Particle Editor." The website provides a driver download which did not help me at all, nor did it appear to help many of the owners who wrote to the help forum about the same issue.
I wrote to them a week ago giving them a valid registered serial number and asking what I had to pay to get a new disk.
That, however, may be just a personal evaluation. Through a series of biofeedback challenges, you move on to discover more, and more about this mystical land called the Sun Realm. Though the game is expensive, it's worth it. Not your typical kill, kill, kill computer game. I fully encourage anyone who is interested in biofeedback to buy this game.Al Some of the biofeedback challenges are very difficult and others are easy.
I would buy it again. This is a fascinating game. It's a game that very effectively shows you how to control involuntary body functions. Meaning, easy things for me, might be difficult for someone else and vice a versa.I have had the game for about 30 days and have completed all the tasks and in doing so have learned a lot about biofeedback and how I can help myself relax in normal everyday stressful situations.
